MPS-8033 Precision Fiber Optic Sources
    Side by Side Comparison

[print]    [email]

Features

  • Temporal stability as great as ±0.005dB
  • Provides up to 20mW of optical power with user-specified WDM C-Band or L-Band DFB laser diodes
  • Provides up to 1mW of optical power with 850nm, 980nm, and 1480nm FP laser diodes
  • Internal laser modulation up to 15kHz
  • Easily integrated into production test benches via GPIB interface

The MPS-8033 Series of Fiber Optic Sources are microprocessor-controlled laser diode sources capable of providing up to 20mW of optical power at user specified wavelengths with DFB laser diodes in the WDM C-Band and L-Band wavelengths. Other fiber optic source options include 850, 980, and 1480nm Fabry-Perot laser diodes up to 1mW.

Precision temperature and current control electronics make the MPS-8033 well-suited for production and laboratory test and measurement applications. These include active and passive component testing for high-precision IL and ORL measurements, environmental testing, and power meter and detector calibration.

The MPS-8033 conveniently displays output power in either mW or dBm. Decibel readings can also be displayed relative to an operator-selected reference level. Each MPS-8033 comes with a standard GPIB remote interface for easy incorporation into an automated test system or computer-controlled laboratory test.

For specifications on the MPS-8033 Series, please refer to the MPS-8033 product brochure.
