The TS-525 is an uncalibrated NTC 100 kΩ leaded thermistor with a baked on phenolic coating for durability and long-term stability. These have solid nickel 30 AWG wires with Teflon insulation to provide insulation when assembled in a heat sink or plate with a lead length of 3 inches (76 mm). They are ideal for measuring the temperature of a laser diode or other component during testing. These devices can be calibrated with accuracies to ±0.05°C over their temperature range using the Steinhart-Hart model. Calibration instructions can be found in ILX’s application note #4, “Thermistor Calibration and the Steinhart-Hart Equation.” Thermistor resistance vs. temperature conversion tables can be found on the Vishay website. Look for Model T, Curve #4 thermistors.
