	ILX Lightwave Announces Release of C-Mount Laser Diode Mounting Fixture
	BOZEMAN, MT, July 25th, 2006 - ILX Lightwave Corporation announces the release of the LDM-4409 C-mount fixture developed for high power C-mount laser diode devices. The new fixture supports C-mount lasers with over 10W of optical output power and drive currents up to 10A. It offers active temperature control with an integrated 120W thermoelectric module and cooling fan for a temperature control range of +10°C to 85°C. Fixture design and precision machining result in optimized thermal resistance between the C-mount device and fixture, minimizing the temperature difference between the laser and the temperature controlled mounting plate ensuring consistent device parametric measurements. The LDM-4409 has been optimized for pre and post burn-in characterization, R&D, and manufacturing test applications. A unique spring-loaded clamping mechanism facilitates device insertion and removal and unobstructed access to the front of the C-mount device allows for accurate measurements of highly divergent beams and easy integration into measurement set-ups. The fixture comes with a pedestal mount, but can also be post-mounted and is compatible with ILX Lightwave current sources and temperature controllers.
